The aim of the event was to explore and initiate informed debate on the reactions of some Muslims to the depictions published by Danish Newspaper Jyllands-Posten.
In instigating an open and frank dialogue on the lessons to be learnt and the direction forward, key questions raised in the programme were:
Do Islamic scriptural sources justify this type of response?
What should have been the response of Muslims according to Islam?
How does Islam stand on acknowleding the rightness of others regardless of their creed?
Has self-criticism become the victim of high running emotions?
Islam or Jahiliyya - Where are we heading?
